Julian, CA, USA
Apple picking always sounded like a fun fall activity to me, but with the closest apple farms 1.5 or more hours away from Los Angeles, I never got the chance to do it until now. My boyfriend and I spent last weekend at a B&B in Julian, and even though we were both sick and totally unprepared for cold-ish weather, we couldn't pass up on the chance to pick our own bag of apples. At $10 for a small bag of apples, the price may seem a little steep, but you pay for the novelty of picking your own fruit. People bring their dogs and families. So fun and so worth it if you ask me. It's definitely not something you get to experience every day when you live in a city!
