The Tie-Neck Blouse
It's all about the neck this season (think choker tops, choker necklaces, thin scarves, etc.) and one of my favorite neck trends is the tie-neck blouse. It's such a feminine and chic take on a staple that is often decidedly menswearish and although the style is currently trending, it's also a very timeless and classic style. It's definitely not the last one you'll be seeing me wear here on the blog. I love the dot-print on this one, which is fun yet subdued enough to be appropriate for workwear. I paired the top with some mom jeans, but went kind of fancy on the shoes--I rarely ever wear pumps, especially if they don't have some sort of ankle-strap, because I feel like they are either pinching my toes or sliding off my heels. Enter: the "12-hour pump" from Banana. With such a lofty name like that, I had to give them a go! They may very well be the most comfortable pair of pumps I own yet. At any rate, plum is always such a beautiful color for Fall/Winter. Also, this bag which I purchased from Banana Republic in the spring remains one of my favorites and is transitioning seamlessly into fall.
