Recently I joined a global online fashion platform called RE.MU and they connected me with a Taiwanese brand called Queen Shop for a styling collaboration. It's always interesting and inspiring to see what people around the world are wearing, although it's never so radically different as I remember it being when I was a kid. I guess that was way back in the Jurassic age, before the internet and globalization kind of merged worldwide trends into a global collective consciousness. Nowadays, you don't actually need to travel to a new locale in order to be inspired by the fashion and style there, which is pretty amazing if you think about it.
So it's thanks to RE.MU that I discovered this brand Queen Shop (though Google Translate deserves some credit here too) and dress myself in a such a way like one of the cute Asian girl models on the website might. Since the theme of the collab is "Travel With Us," I picked pieces that were loose and comfortable and would travel well. The tote would make an excellent carry-on and I am so in love with this lightweight trench; you will definitely be seeing it on my blog again. And these olive-colored pants are quite unlike anything else I have in my wardrobe, so I'm happy have tried out something new, even if they do make me feel a bit self conscious about my calves (the girls on the website have such thin legs!) Since the pants feel a bit masculine to me, pretty heels are a must.
